10 Days. When you're looking for a special safari off the beaten track.

Day 1: Dar-es-Salaam > Julius Nyerere national park

Meet and greet with your guide, then we transfer to our waiting four-wheel drive vehicles and begin the journey towards JN national park, taking our picnic lunch leaving Dar-es-Salaam. The drive takes us through beautiful landscapes and villages of different tribes in Tanzania. Dinner and overnight at the Public camp.

Day 2: Julius Nyerere national aprk

Today we have a full day to explore the largest wildlife in the world covering more than 45000sq km, with picnic lunch. We hope to see lazing prides of lions, leopards draped over large limbs of Acacia trees, aloof cheetahs resting on or near vantage points (which may include termite mounds and large boulders), skulking spotted hyenas, jackals and the bizarre bat-eared fox. Several species of smaller cats such as caracal, serval or African wild cat may even be seen. Dinner and overnight at the Public camp.

Day 3: Julius nyerere national park

Early before breakfast, we will commence on a boat trip on the Rufiji River. Hippos and crocodiles can be seen and bird species we may see here include flocks of African openbill, glossy ibis, pink-backed pelican and red-necked falcon overhead, water thick-knee, pied kingfisher. Back for breakfast then after go for game drive with picnic lunch, tortoise, impala, warthog, giraffe among others might come out to see us, dinner and overnight at the Public camp.

Day 4: Julius Nyerere national park > Morogoro Town

Today we will depart early after breakfast with picnic lunch, game drive en route, drive on our four-wheel drive vehicle and begin the journey towards Morogoro, a small and rather dilapidated town at the base of the Uluguru Mountains. Leaving JN national park, the drive takes us through heavily cultivated areas where common Tanzanian roadside bird species such as dark chanting, goshawk, lizard buzzard and black-shouldered kite can be seen on exposed perches. Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 5: Morogoro Town > Ruaha National Park

Today we will depart early after breakfast on the long drive to Ruaha National Park. We pass through a wonderful baobab forest and stretch our legs and enjoy some open country birding. We should arrive in the late afternoon and overnight at the Ruaha public campsite.

Day 6: Ruaha National Park

After breakfast we are going for a full day game drive with picnic lunch at the Ruaha National Park. We have an entire day dedicated to searching wildlife of Ruaha, the only national park in Tanzania where roan antelope, sable antelope and the lesser and greater kudu can be seen. All the big cats of Africa can be seen. Dinner and overnight at the public campsite.

Day 7: Ruaha National Park > Iringa Town

After breakfast we‘ll do a half day game viewing at Ruaha National Park. Then after a hot lunch we drive to lringa town for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Iringa Town > Mikumi National Park

After early morning breakfast we are going to drive to Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch, for game view at Mikumi National Park. An evening game may produce snake eagles; common ostrich, lilac breasted rollers, little egret, hamerkop, white stork. We also may encounter in lions, zebras, buffalos, impalas and baboons. Dinner and overnight at the Public camp.

Day 9: Mikumi National Park > Udzungwa Mountains National Park

After breakfast with picnic lunch we are going to drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park to explore the various forest patched and forest edge to hunt for the highly localized lringa red colobus and other mammals. After lunch an evening excursion may produce African woodowl and other birds and animals. Then leave the splendour of the Udzungwa Mountains behind to drive back to Mikumi for dinner and overnight at the Public camp.

Day 10: Mikumi National Park > Dar-es-Salaam

After breakfast we will leave this scenic woodland for Dar es salaam where we will enjoy our final lunch in this marvelous country where the tour will conclude.
